Rabat, Wednesday, October 22, 2025 – TAMWILCOM had the honor of hosting the Annual Summit of the Montréal Group in Rabat on Wednesday, October 22, 2025. The Montréal Group is an international network bringing together thirteen public development banks from the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Africa. Organized for the first time on the African continent, this global event provided a unique platform for dialogue and reflection on the role of public financial institutions in financing and supporting micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).

Held under the theme of resilience, the 2025 Summit explored the ways in which public development banks can strengthen the resilience and competitiveness of businesses in the face of global economic, geopolitical, and technological challenges.

The opening session featured remarks by Ms. Isabelle BÉBÉAR and Mr. Abdulaziz AL-ZAID, Co-Chairs of the Montréal Group, as well as Mr. Said JABRANI, Chief Executive Officer of TAMWILCOM, the host institution of the Summit.

In his address, Mr. JABRANI stated:

"It is a great honor for TAMWILCOM and for Morocco to host the first edition of the Montréal Summit on African soil. This event reflects our commitment to placing cooperation and the sharing of experiences at the heart of our actions. As a public institution dedicated to business financing, we fully share the ambitions of the Montréal Group, namely fostering entrepreneurship, supporting the growth of MSMEs, and strengthening the resilience of our economies in the face of global challenges."

The Summit program combined plenary sessions, interactive workshops, and thematic presentations, highlighting market diversification and the essential role of public development banks in business creation and growth.

Morocco’s experience was also showcased through a panel entitled “Let’s Talk Morocco”, which provided participants with insights into the Kingdom’s economic and entrepreneurial dynamism. The panel brought together representatives from the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE), TAMWILCOM, and LAMACOM, who shared practical experiences and success stories.

The event brought together senior executives and representatives of the member institutions of the Montréal Group network, alongside representatives from the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Bank Al-Maghrib, and leading development partners and international financial institutions.
